The Real Story of Spice Jay Alicaya

From province boy with zero resources… to a motivational speaker, coach, and mentor to thousands.

Hey, I’m Spice Jay Alicaya.
And if there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that nothing came easy.

I came from literally nothing.
I was born in Pasig City, pero my roots are from Dumaguete (my mom) and Davao City (my dad). My mom used to be a maid in Valle Verde 1. My dad? A family driver. We were living in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig yung lugar na kahit hindi mo sabihin, ramdam mong mahirap ka.

Then things got worse...
My dad got into the wrong crowd—drugs, violence, all that. When I was five, he got stabbed to death. Just like that, nawala siya. Wala kaming pambayad sa burol. Walang pambangon.

So my mom brought me to Dumaguete. That’s where I first learned the word “tiis.”

Province life wasn’t any easier.

I used to walk 20 kilometers a day just to go to school. walang pamasahe, walang baon, walang extra clothes. Kahit ulan, init, gutom laban lang.

I worked in the fields just so may bigas kami sa hapag. During vacation, I’d join Moro Ami fishing. Imagine bata ka pa lang, ilang buwan kang nasa laot, malayo sa pamilya, just to survive. Minsan, 2 years ko tinatapos ang isang school year.

But somehow, I made it.

I survived high school...

I started from the lowest point...
I became a house helper. As in katulong levels, with my tita who replaced my mom sa trabaho as maid. Tagalaba, tagalinis, yaya anything, just to eat.

Weekends? Carwash boy. Sa ilalim ng araw o ulan. Kahit anong racket.

Then I got into 7-Eleven as store crew. Pinag-sipagan ko. Na-promote ako as coordinator, small win, pero proud moment. Then sa SM, sales clerk. After some time, naging team leader. I started learning about leadership kahit basic lang.

Then I entered BPO call center life. Night shift. Metrics. Local calls. But hey, mas malaki sahod.

Pero eventually, narealize ko…

Paulit-ulit lang lahat.
Gising. Trabaho. Uwi. Uutang. Sahod. Bayad utang. Gising ulit. Parang walang growth.

Wala akong ipon. Wala akong direction.

Laging sakto lang.
“Survive today, worry tomorrow.”

Then one day, I broke down.
“Lord,” I said, “Is this it? Hanggang dito na lang ba ako?”

Then I met Breakthrough Revolution Corporation (BRC).

Someone introduced me to the business. Sabi ko, “Baka ito na.” Pero to be honest, I had nothing. No skills, no confidence. Pero I still said yes.

And boom doon nagsimula ang real struggle.

First year ko sa BRC? Grabe. Mas grabe pa sa pagiging empleyado. Walang kita. Nawalan ako ng bahay. Nawala pangkain. Hindi na ako makapadala sa family ko.

And worse? Family ko mismo ang bumitaw sa akin.

They told me:
"Mas okay pa nung nagtatrabaho ka sa labas. At least may naipapadala ka. Ngayon puro ka na lang pangarap."

That broke me.

I felt so worthless.
There were nights na gusto ko na lang matulog nang tuluyan.

Then I read this verse:
Galatians 6:9
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

That kept me going.

I stopped chasing money.
I started focusing on impact.

I mentored. I coached. I helped people build real businesses.

And slowly, success followed.

Now, here I am…

✅ Earned over ₱8.2 million through this business
✅ Mentored and coached hundreds OFWs, breadwinners, single moms, dropouts
✅ Built over 200,000+ followers across TikTok, Facebook, YouTube
✅ Leading a solid community not just clients, but like family
✅ Speaking in events, leading teams, helping people break through

And more than anything…

I finally found my purpose.

Because at the end of the day. This is not just about franchising. It’s about transforming lives.

That’s why I take care of every person I mentor.

So now, kapatid… I’m here for YOU.

Whatever your situation is…

I want you to know this:

If it happened to me, it can happen to you.

Walang imposible sa taong hindi sumusuko.
Your struggles today will be your strengths tomorrow.

Let me help you create your own breakthrough.

This is not just my story…

It’s proof
That pain has purpose.
That setbacks can lead to success.
And that your best days… are still ahead of you.

Let’s build your future, kapatid.
